Terms of Service
Last updated: July 20261. What Hourvy is
Hourvy is a time tracking and payroll management tool for small businesses with hourly workers. We help you record hours, calculate what each worker is owed, and log when payments are made. Hourvy does not process, hold, or move money for worker wages โ we track hours and payment status only. You pay your workers directly, however you already do (cash, transfer, or check), then mark it as paid in Hourvy. (This is separate from your own Hourvy subscription fee, which is billed via Paddle โ see Section 4.)
2. Who can use it
Hourvy is for businesses and their authorized workers. To create a business account, you must be 18 years of age or older. By using Hourvy, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Your account
- Business owners create and manage the account.
- Business owners create the initial worker profile; workers then set their own password via an invite link and can update their own name and phone number after logging in.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Each owner/manager account corresponds to one business. A worker's login can be linked to more than one business if they work for multiple businesses on Hourvy.
4. Billing
- Every new account includes a full 30-day free trial with no credit card required.
- After the trial, billing is $1 USD per active seat per month, charged monthly via Paddle, our payment processor and merchant of record.
- A "seat" is one active owner/manager on the account, or one worker whose profile is set to Active for any part of the billing period. Active status, not hours worked, determines billing โ a worker is billed the full $1 for the month even if they were active for only one day of it.
- To avoid being billed for a worker for a given month, set their profile to "Inactive" before that billing period starts, and leave them inactive for the entire month.
- If a payment fails, your account will be suspended until the issue is resolved.
- You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current period.
- All charges are final. We do not offer refunds โ this includes partial billing months, unused or accidentally-added seats, and downgrades. Please review your active seat count before each billing period.
5. Auto-renewal consent
By adding a payment method, you authorize Paddle.com, our payment processor and merchant of record, to charge your card automatically each month on our behalf until you cancel. You will receive an email receipt after each charge.
6. Worker data
Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of the worker data they enter. When a business removes a worker, that worker's personal information is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered โ unless the worker is also employed by another business on Hourvy, in which case their account is retained until every employment link is removed. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details on how worker data is handled.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Hourvy for anything unlawful or harmful. Specifically, you must not:
- Use the platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Hourvy platform.
- Abuse, exploit, or interfere with the service in any way.
8. Data ownership
You own your data. By using Hourvy, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your business data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
9. Service availability
We work hard to keep Hourvy available and reliable, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime, data loss, or service interruptions beyond what is required by applicable law.
10. Termination
You can cancel your account at any time from your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Delaware.
