Each worker can follow your business default break, have their own rule (for example 30 minutes off shifts longer than 6 hours), or have no automatic break. Change several workers at once with Set break rule on the Workers page. Time Logs and payroll exports show which rule applied, and approved or paid pay periods never change.
Add Hourvy to your home screen and it opens like an app. Workers go straight to their clock and stay signed in, and owners open straight to the Dashboard.

If a worker tries to sign up as a new business, Hourvy recognizes them, emails their clock-in link and points them there instead.
Someone left without clocking out? Click Clock out next to their name under Currently Clocked In, pick the time and add an optional note. The shift is marked as edited so it's clear it was corrected.
When you log a payment, Hourvy can email the worker a receipt with the amount, method, pay period and anything still owed. Your private notes are never included.

Set up roles like Server or Cook with default rates, and give workers personal rates per role. Workers with several roles pick one at clock-in, and their pay follows.
Track hours, labor cost and budget per job or client. Workers choose a job when they clock in and can switch jobs mid-shift from their phone or the kiosk.
Set a required break and minimum rest between shifts. Shifts that miss them are flagged on Time Logs, the schedule and your alerts. Pay is never changed.
When you run payroll, workers are asked to confirm their hours or report a problem, and you can see who has signed off before you approve.
The Dashboard shows 12 weeks of labor cost and overtime trends, plus an overtime watch for who's heading into overtime this week. Reports add scheduled vs. actual hours and hours by role.
Overtime can be worked out on the weighted average of everything earned that week, or on the rate of the hours worked. Single-rate workers are paid the same either way.
A draft pay period updates itself whenever a shift in it changes, so you never approve stale numbers.
Build and publish your team's week: copy last week, start from templates, see the labor cost as you go, and drag shifts between people and days. Workers see their shifts, pick up open shifts, request swaps and mark when they can't work.
Invite managers from Settings to help run your team. You'll see clearly that each manager is a paid seat before anything is added.
Turn a shared tablet into a time clock. Workers tap their name, enter a PIN and clock in, out or take a break, with an optional photo. You can make the kiosk the only way to clock in.
Add your work locations and Hourvy checks where workers are when they clock in. Clock-ins away from work are flagged for review, or blocked if you prefer.

Workers start and end unpaid breaks from the clock screen, and the timer pauses while they're on break. Hours and pay leave breaks out automatically, and you can set a minimum break for long shifts.
Workers still clocked in after their shift get an email reminder. You can also set a maximum shift length so forgotten shifts close on their own and are clearly marked.
Add them to a worker's pay on a draft pay period. Workers see each one itemised on their pay screen.
Get an email when a scheduled worker hasn't clocked in, someone is close to weekly overtime, payroll is due, or a shift was closed automatically. Turn each alert on or off in Settings.
On biweekly, semimonthly and monthly pay periods, weekly overtime is now counted week by week instead of across the whole period.
